What can I expect at Pearisburg First Church of God?

We are a smaller congregation, but we love to love on people. Each Sunday, many of us gather together an hour before service starts just so we can have ample fellowship time. We also enjoy a great time of fellowship, discussion, and study each Wednesday night for our Bible Studies.

What are the services like?

At the moment, we lean pretty heavily towards hymns in worship but we are gradually working to add more contemporary but theologically solid worship choruses into the rotation. Our Pastor's sermons are straightfoward and Biblically-based. If you're still curious, feel free to check out our live streams on Facebook and YouTube!

Are my kids welcome at Pearisburg First Church of God?

Absolutely! We love kids! We encourage our children to participate in worship during the musical portion of service before they are dismissed for Junior Church (Pre-K - 5th Grade). For our younger kids, we have a special nursery/crying room set aside with speakers so parents can still listen to the service while the children play.

What is the dress code?

At Pearisburg First Church of God, our concern is on the heart rather than the exterior, so feel free to come in whatever you feel is appropriate!
